Sending Christmas Cheer

I’m so happy to be participating in Papertrey Ink’s monthly blog hop for November.  I love this challenge because you get to create a card inspired by a gorgeous photo they choose.  Here is this month’s inspiration:

I love all the red and white.  I’ve been using that color combo a lot on my cards this month.  That blue ribbon is so pretty too, so I decided to combine all the colors for my card along with a little sprig of green.

I used the peppermint circle from the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set and created a masked line of the candies all the way across a white notecard using Pure Poppy ink.  This is really easy to do using a 1 3/4″ punch and some masking paper.  Just stamp, cover the first stamp with the mask, stamp again offsetting the image, remove the mask and cover the second image, stamp, and so on…..

I added the circle tag from Holiday Photo Finishers (an older set) stamped on some Spring Rain cardstock and tucked in some holly from the Spruce & Sprigs set.  Light blue enamel dots helped to continue the blue.

Those peppermint candies are so festive and the masking keeps this card clean and simple.  Thanks so much for joining me today.  Supplies used on my project are linked below.  Just click on the logo below each product for the shop
