CutCardstock Be Mine, Valentine! Blog Hop

Hi Everyone and welcome to the final stop on the CutCardstock Valentine’s Day blog hop. I hope you’ve enjoyed the wonderful inspiration from all the ladies from the talented design team. Hopefully, you’ve added a project of your own to the link up. We love to see all kinds of fun Valentine’s Day projects!

For my card today, I used some of my favorite types of stamps–food puns and hearts. I can never have enough of these. I actually have a lot of bacon and eggs stamps too for some reason. They’re just so cute! I did another project a while back using a similar set at THIS POST. If you don’t have a lot of designated “Valentine” stamps, cute little pun stamps like these are a great option. Pair with a couple of hearts and you have a Valentine!

For my background, I used a really cute rubber stamp from Serendipity Stamps. I stamped the image with Lawn Fawn’s Lobster ink which is a really nice, true red. I then colored the hearts in a variety of pinks from my Zig Clean Color brush pen pack. I used these instead of Copics because the ink does not go through the back of the card stock. Plus, you get a more “painted” look with the Zigs, which I like.

To back my bacon and eggs, I added a white heart to break up the color and highlight the little breakfast buddies.

Inside, I added a sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh.

To be eligible for the $40 gift card, readers must comment at each stop along the hop or upload a project that includes product from CutCardStock.

  1. Interesting note that the markers don’t bleed to the other side. Not familiar with them, so I’ll check them out.
