CutCardstock DIY Wedding Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the next stop on the CutCardstock DIY Wedding blog hop!  A wedding is such a joyful occasion and there are so many ways to get creative with your supplies.

I love having extra wedding cards on hand.  I have a few favorite bride and groom images along with some meaningful sentiment stamps that I like to mix and match.  For today’s project, I’m using the gorgeous Stardream Metallic Silver card stock as a background for my card.

I first die cut this floral die from Hero Arts called Flower Garden Fancy die.  I used Stick It Adhesive on the back to make it easy to adhere to the front of my note card.

For my bride and groom, I used an older wood block stamp from Penny Black called Bride and Groom.  I reach for this all the time because of it’s sketchy, free-flowing look.  I decided to color it with Copics, and then cut the image out to pop up on the front of my folded card.  I love my big pack of Cougar A2 flat cards for this type of thing.  They are cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches so you can just grab a piece to stamp or die cut and there is less waste.  I like the 100# option.

It’s difficult to color a white wedding dress, so I traced some of the outlines with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker and added just a hint of pink to the top.

I added a meaningful sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s Inside & Out: Love to the inside.
