I feel like fashion and glitter go hand in hand, so for my most recent CutCardstock design team project, I combined the cutest stamp set with some of CutCardstock’s gorgeous glitter card stock.

To create the frame and highlight all that great sparkle, I the Fine Frames Cover die from Altenew that creates these really thin rectangle frames.  I cut three sets: one each from Mirrisparkle Glitter Silver card stock, Mirrisparkle Glitter Pink Sapphire, and Pow Black Glitter paper.  I then chose three that would fit together nicely around my sentiment and images on the front of my card.

I then stamped my sentiment (from an older WPlus9 set–Sparkle & Shine) on to the front of a card I made using Cougar White Super Smooth 100# card stock.  I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with a holographic embossing powder.

I heat embossed the adorable little ladies from Stampendous’ Sassy City stamp set all around the sentiment using Versafine Onyx ink and clear embossing powder.  I love that name–Sassy City!

Here’s a peek at the inside…..I used an older set from Hero Arts called Many Birthday Messages.

To finish, I added the glittered frames to highlight the scene.

I love how the hint of glitter pulls together an otherwise pretty clean and simple design.  The die cut frames are great too, because you can save the rest for many more projects.

Thanks so much for joining me today!

Kat Scrappiness Design Team Project: Dress Up

Next to cute food and floral stamps, fashion stamps are my favorites.  For today’s project, I used Technique Tuesday’s Sassy Fashion stamp set along with Kat’s new Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies.

dress 2I decided to do a clean and simple layered look to showcase the adorable scallops.  I love their small size, and the stitching is the perfect compliment.  A layer of felt ties in the theme of clothing/textiles.  I have a video HERE where you can watch my process.  Be sure to head over to the Kat Scrappiness shop to check out all the new die sets released this month.  Feel free to use my coupon code: Heidi10 to receive 10% off your purchase.  Thanks for watching!  Supplies are linked below.
